Polybius is a modern horror project about an underground team dedicated to the research and investigation of urban legend, supernatural folklore, and the paranormal. Through their footage, recollections, and histories, we explore the ties that bind them, the secrets that inspire them, and the horrors they can’t escape.
Polybius is also collaborative original verse with Vee! We're working on a twine and possibly some other things, and I'm writing a ten part backstory miniseries for my characters (hopefully to be finished by Halloween 2017).

The Seneca Hotel is a skyward-sprawling establishment built atop an old mansion rumored to be haunted. Trouble arises when evidence of the third murder in two months surfaces in the mansion yet again; police, ghost hunters, skeptics, and even the FBI are solicited to investigate.
The Bureau declines, and local skeptics or ghost-hunters are few and far-between. So, following on the heels of the initial investigation, the task is up to a handful of ragtag randos. Dodging death (as well as the cops milling around trying to hush the situation up), a physicist, a bass player, a test-tube jockey, a librarian, three Seneca workers, and two Seneca guests come together to figure out what the hell is going on.

❝ The flesh and bone he had lost twitched in a way he hated with all his heart. ❞
Decades after the initial blow— a hook that only glanced off the world's cheek but shattered its bones all the same, a blow that some still call "a sign of things to come"— people have settled into new routines. The ravaged eastern coast of the United States is divided into Zones of civilization; the rest is wild, ruined, touched by a lingering nuclear winter that has changed everything.
But the Empire Zone is populous and needy, and the public adores one of the only nightclubs it has left: a versatile establishment run by a ruthless upstart the other side of the boiling pond. The Tomb provides succor and relief to those who suffer in its domain. It boasts electricity, ration distribution, and potable water, as well as a modest source of entertainment and order.
The club is thrown into chaos when whispers of treachery reach "the Pharaoh's" ears. Once the treasonous former employee is punished and banished from the zone, he must flee for his life from the wrath of the Pharaoh and his hunters, scrabbling through deserted towns and wilderness in a mad dash to Albany, and from there to Buffalo.
(The Tomb's narrative is linked to James' Eschaton; they exist in the same post-apocalyptic universe and time period, and their characters appear in and influence one another's stories!)

IOTV is a Gothic horror project about two traveling tradeswomen who come across a peculiar local obsession. Set in an anachronistic facsimile of Italy among a small cast, it pits protagonists Fortunata and Rosario against the terror bred by the sublime, affronting, and unknown that surface in a humble town bordered by a vast and mysterious vineyard.
A collab with James for which I'm also writing a ten part miniseries (also something I hope to finish by Halloween 2017).

Collected in this volume are the memoirs of an apothecary from a since-forgotten town buried in the valleys of Switzerland. Featuring an introduction by the author himself, a numerous interjections by the editor, and a brief selection of appendices detailing historical circumstances and necessary alterations made to the text, these memoirs detail a long and terrible struggle with the abysmal.
Erlebnisse is a novel I'd ideally like to complete at some point in 2017. (Who knows how that'll go.)

Feuding mercenary factions struggle for power as the supernatural comes into play and worsens their long-standing rivalry. The Disciplinary of Thalas, a community of mages and alchemists living on a island off the coast, exists at odds with the Amber Kinship, a community of mercenaries inhabiting the coastal city who willingly suppress their inherent magical abilities but are said to "commune with beasts."
The young Brother Asad sets out to take matters into his own hands, but really only makes things worse, in that patent way impulsive youths have always had. As punishment for his ignorance, he is shoved out into the world to Find Himself and Stop Fucking Everything Up. Along the way, he meets plenty of friends and foes, not least of all the Disciplinary mage called Harken who insists on showing Asad "the truth of [his] being."
Videndum is part of a collaboration with James and Jay, which also includes their verses Fallen God and Metanoia, respectively. These universes exist as one, and their settings and characters operate in tandem.

They're all a bunch of nerds.
