IOTV is a Gothic horror project about two traveling tradeswomen who come across a peculiar local obsession. Set in an anachronistic facsimile of Italy among a small cast, it pits protagonists Fortunata and Rosario against the terror bred by the sublime, affronting, and unknown that surface in a humble town bordered by a vast and mysterious vineyard.
A collab with James for which I'm also writing a ten part miniseries (also something I hope to finish by Halloween 2017).
fortunata One half of the merchant-protagonist duo, Fortunata and her partner Rosario came to town to establish a trade route through the area. Against certain urgings, they looked into promoting trade with the enigmatic Cattedrale, knowing its congregation to be the keepers of a grand vineyard. Fortu can be nosy and cowardly at worst, but she also cunning, cautious, and even rather charming.
saveria The congregation of her cathedral is known as la Setta Degli Viti; they are diligent caretakers of a most exclusive vineyard, but prefer to keep their work to themselves. Although she appears affable, sense of derangement lingers about Saveria; her eyes are always unnaturally wide, and her movements can be erratic. Members of the Cattedrale tend to view her as a guide and a mother superior figure, although her exact position in the hegemony is unknown.
salvai An enormous, hulking shadow of a man who lurks in the Cattedrale's vineyard and basement, shooing away any outsiders. He can be as dangerous as he is patient, and he is very patient.
ferdinand A young man who came to the town only to take up residence as a hermit in the woods. He is well-liked by most townspeople and highly suspicious of the Cattedrale.
guerierra A warrior (living up to her moniker) who arrives in town some time after Fortunata and Rosario.
